Asylum (Jeff The Killer Fanfic) Part 2
"Hey! What do you think your doing!?!" I voice yelled from outside the lab. I heard a loud crash and a scream. The Doctor paused and walked over to the door, opening it and peeking down the long hallway to see what all the noise was about.
Suddenly blood splattered all over the walls as a guard sprawled across the concrete hallway floor, his throat slashed open.
"What the..." The Doctor muttered, running out of the lab, followed by Kelik.
Suddenly a figure appeared in the doorway.
It was the boy from earlier.
I yelped in fear as he took a few steps closer. In the light his face looked a little less scary. He pulled out a bloody knife from his white bloodstained hoodie pocket and cut away the ropes. I would have jumped up immediately if I weren't jabbed with a needle that made me unable to move.
"Are you going to hurt me?" I whimpered.
"Probably not... a simple thank you would have been proper though Doll." He said.
He must have been about my age. His voice sounded like a teenager.
"Can

o You believe that all fluid leaks stop... eventually.
o You find humour in other's stupidity.
o You believe that 90% of your patients are a poor excuse for a protoform.
o Discussing dismemberment over a few rounds of high grade seems perfectly normal to you.
o Your idea of a good time is a full system crash at shift change.
o You believe in aerial spraying of tranquillisers.
o You disbelieve 90% of what you are told and 75% of what you see.
o You have your time off planned for a year in advance.
o You encourage an obnoxious patient to sign a self-discharge form so you don't have to deal with them any longer.
o You believe that the commanders should require a permit from the High Council to do anything more dangerous than scratch their afts.
o You believe that unspeakable evils will befall anyone who utters the phrase "Wow, it's really quiet isn't it?"

Prescriptions of an Insomniac
I was isolation.
Blizzard bed sheets amongst stormy blankets.
The slight tossing-turning of a cotton ocean, cushioned by pillows etched in lightning.
Eyes of a washed-up cast away, hypnotized by insomnia's sleepless seduction.
Fingernails of driftwood clutching the wide-eyed lust.
-
Me.  I was the last breathe of frost-bite.
These ship-wrecked feet wander dry-ice beaches.
Pearls of sand grate against patches of blackened-tissue.
Obsidian bruises amputating limb.
And at that point
nerves forget the synapses supposedly screaming between them.
-
It was an eviscerated excuse for a mind.
The salt-brine cancer freckled across sun-bleached lungs.
Inconspicuous tumors of seaside disease manifesting solitary confinement from my flesh.
The straight-jacket struggles exerted from an island amputee.
Mosquito syringes sedating the sweet bite of insanity.
Me.  I was infected.

Prescription
My doctor writes poetry
with his scalpel;
a verse as he cuts into the skin,
the final line, with no
beautiful context, rests in the stitching.
He scribbles epics in the blood of birth,
whispers the words to the screaming newborns,
hovers over their bassinets
while they sleep, anxiously reciting
what becomes the substance of their first dreams.

The doctor was probably
wrong,
if I wait much longer
I will morph into a bird, and
flap away on long white coatsleeves.
love and hunger hold hands
not in the way
that you can deliver on a tray,
but on the mornings that
are cool and charged
who do you reach for?
Today, I breathed
and changed
out of my clothes, but
did not know you in those soldiers,
breathing too with
the mannequin expression
that held another kind of change
darling, I am not fit
to speak your name I am not
a patient patient
I already know that
even without metal when I look at you I see
reflections, amazing grace on both of
our faces
Neon cancers in
your skinny cigarette body
Let me explain, a heart
would not beat if it were broken
but I think
I have sat on mine by mistake
while thinking about another october night,
victorious and dark and
a hug like quiet punching
now I stand (in an hour it
will be over a windy balcony just
in case I have wings)
to wring my hands,
mourning, inhaling
the agenda of your walk.

so close together. Only
our indifference
makes them all invisible.
We prefer not to see them.
